The membership of the SIAG has two types of partners, community and organisational partners.
The Mansfield SIAG community members have a variety of lived and living experiences that reflect the diverse community of the Mansfield Shire. The organisation partners provide a perspective on social inclusion, connection and mental health and wellbeing promotion within the Mansfield Shire. All members of the SIAG collectively identify goals aimed at enhancing social inclusion.

Social Inclusion Action Group
The Mansfield SIAG invites enthusiastic community members and organisations to participate in our group—a collective of local individuals and partners dedicated to enhancing social inclusion, connection, and well-being throughout Mansfield Shire.
We seek individuals who are genuinely committed to reducing social isolation and fostering a stronger, more inclusive community. Together, SIAG members will:

What we do
The Purpose of the Social Inclusion Action Group (SIAG)
The SIAG aims to:

Enhance social inclusion

Foster social connection

Prevent social exclusion
We accomplish this by:

Identifying local needs, existing initiatives, and gaps concerning social connection and inclusion

Implementing initiatives that promote community participation, inclusion, and connection

Advocating for mental health and well-being through activities that address social inclusion and connection

Ensuring our group reflects the diversity of our community, including partners with varied lived and living experiences
What will you do?

Collaborate effectively to achieve shared objectives

Actively participate in steering the program’s operations

Learn from peers and exchange valuable information

Ensure activities are grounded in evidence and reflect community interests and best practices

Assist in the implementation and execution of initiatives

Identify and track potential risks

Advocate for activities and celebrate achievements

Take part in training opportunities

Approve funding allocations
What will be expected of SIAG members
- Time (minimum 2 hours per month)
- Commitment to attend meetings on the first Wednesday of each month from 5.30pm - 7pm and other meetings as required
- Commitment to attend 70% yearly meetings in person
- Establishing connections within Mansfield Shire
- Working with Children Check
- Police Check- paid by council
- Willingness to Learn
- Commitment to Inclusivity
- Reliability
- Attend SIAG events
