Councillor Code of Conduct
The Councillor Code of Conduct is required to be reviewed and adopted by Council within six months following a Council election and clarifies what constitutes a complaint, ensuring that issues relating to suspected corruption or protected disclosures are dealt with through other procedures as required under other legislation. It also aims to standardise the initial internal procedure for all complaints.
In accordance with the Local Government Act 2020, Council reviewed and adopted its Code of Conduct on 16 February 2021.
