Community Vision 2040

After months of community workshops, feedback, and feedback loops, the Mansfield Community Vision 2040 was adopted by Council on 19 October 2021. The vision shapes and guides Council planning and activity while providing shared goals for everyone across Mansfield Shire to collectively work towards.

More than 3,000 people were reached, 25,000 words provided by community members and 120 community members responded to a written survey.

This array of community input was then considered by a community based deliberative panel who identified five domains for the vision:

  • Community and People
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Environment and Place
  • Infrastructure and Services
  • Prosperity and Economy

The Vision was reviewed in 2025 in accordance with Council’s Community Engagement Policy and the Local Government Act 2020. The deliberative engagement undertaken and the feedback received confirmed that the Community Vision 2040 continues to define the community’s aspirations for the future. Council endorsed the Community Vision 2040 as adopted in 2021 at the Ordinary Meeting of Council on 21 October 2025.
