Traditional Community Christmas Picnic and Carols return to Botanic Pa

Council is proud to announce the 2023 Community Christmas Picnic and Carols will be held Friday 8 December from 5pm – 9pm at the Botanic Park.
Christmas has always been a special time in Mansfield for the community to connect and celebrate with friends and family.
This year’s event will return to a focus on traditional Christmas celebrations in Botanic Park, including carols performed by local talent including the M.A.D. Orchestra with lead singers Bec Bowell, Maria Lieberth and Ian Todd.
Mayor Cr James Tehan invites the community to come and enjoy celebrations together.
“Every year we look forward to celebrating together as a community with this wonderful Christmas event,” he said.
“There will be early kids’ entertainment from Wozza and the Animals of the Magical Mountains and of course a visit from the big fellow in the red suit.”
“It’s also great to see the return of the fundraising for the Mansfield District Hospital through donations and the sale of candles.”

Food and drink will be available for purchase from local vendors at the event.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic rug, fold out chairs, and their best singing voices for the return of the Community Christmas Picnic and Carols evening.
