Telstra’s Mobile Shop will be returning to Mansfield’s High Street on Wednesday 18 January. Improved telecommunications are a high priority and Council has been advocating strongly for better local services.

Mayor Cr James Tehan said this visit reflects Telstra’s acknowledgement of significant local demand for a permanently based telecommunications business to support products and services in Mansfield Shire.

Council is promoting Telstra’s presence to enable community members to visit the mobile store and make the most of the opportunity to catch up on new telecommunications products and services, or to enquire about service or product issues that they may have.

Council’s Economic Development Officer - Business & Industry, Derek Beautyman said Telstra have indicated that they are reviewing local demand to determine whether a permanent business base in Mansfield will be viable for the longer term.

“We encourage local residents, businesses and visitors to our Shire to take advantage of this opportunity to get help with their telecommunications needs.” he said.

The Telstra Shop will be in the High Street median strip carpark, opposite Mansfield Toyota from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm on Wednesday 18 January.
