The exhibition celebrates the talent, courage and creativity of 10 local artists aged 12 to 21. Half of this year’s exhibitors are showcasing their work publicly for the first time, highlighting the exhibition’s role as a safe, inclusive and encouraging platform for young creatives to build confidence and share their developing voice.
Mayor Cr Steve Rabie said Council was proud to support initiatives that empower young people and strengthen community connection.
“Mansfield Shire has a thriving artistic community, it’s an important part of our local culture and it’s excellent to see the next generation carrying that on,” he said.
“Council also supported the recent opening of the Youth Art Exhibition at the Visitor Information Centre. We are grateful to the young people of the Amplify Committee who planned and delivered the opening event. By all accounts, they did a great job.”
The second annual Youth Art Exhibition will remain open at the Mansfield Visitor Information Centre until the end of May 2026 offering the community the chance to experience an inspiring collection of youth-led artwork across a range of mediums including painting, pyrography, 3D printed art and sculpture.
At the close of the exhibition, two awards will be presented to deserving artists. The 'Framing the Future' Award, to be determined by public vote, will be awarded to a youth artist who has created an inspiring individual artwork and the Amplify Artist Award will be judged by a panel of Arts Mansfield artists.
With ambitions to grow the exhibition each year, Amplify is continuing to build a strong and supportive future for youth arts in Mansfield.
