Mansfield Shire Council is inviting the community to provide feedback on the Draft Tracks and Trails Strategy 2026–2046.
This last stage of engagement for will inform Mansfield Shire Council’s 20-year delivery of a connected, accessible and high-quality recreational tracks and trails network.
Mayor Cr Steve Rabie has acknowledged the valuable community contributions received to date.
“Thank you everyone who has shared their feedback so far,” he said.
“The finished strategy identifies potential future projects. The proposed tracks and trails will remain subject to further consultation, with Council committing to engage directly with affected property owners and the broader community before progressing any works.
“This final stage of the engagement is a good opportunity to see the list of the tracks and trails as they are prioritised. Community feedback has played a crucial role in shaping the strategy so far. We want the end product to reflect our community’s wishes.”
Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to review the draft document and provide feedback via Council’s Engage Mansfield platform before consultation closes on 6 May 2026.
This final round aims to capture any additional insights to strengthen the strategy prior to its presentation to Council for adoption.
Once finalised, the Tracks and Trails Strategy 2026–2046 will guide future planning, investment and development, helping to enhance connectivity and recreation opportunities across Mansfield Shire.
The project is jointly funded by Council and the Victorian Government’s Local Sports Infrastructure Fund.
