Culvert upgrade works are set to take place along Old Tonga Road, Mansfield, approximately 1.2 kilometres from the Monkey Gully Road and Old Tonga Road Intersection.
Works include the reinstatement of a dislodged culvert headwall. Construction will commence later this month and is expected to be completed by mid-June this year, weather permitting.
Works will involve improvements to the open channel condition and stormwater flow, through the installation of rock beaching to protect the drainage channel and reduce stormwater erosion along the roadside in this area.
Alpine Civil Pty Ltd have been engaged to complete the works. While traffic management will be in place for the duration of this project, people are advised to please follow any signage and travel safely when in the area.
