The revised Delatite Valley Plan is now available to view.

During the first round of engagement, the Delatite Valley community enthusiastically provided feedback to Council, telling us how the plan could be altered to better reflect the wishes of those living in the Delatite Valley.

We listened to the community’s comments and concerns and we have now acted to provide an amended draft of the plan that reflects the community’s hopes and dreams for their home.

The following key changes have been made:

  • Reducing the proposed rezoning area.
  • Proposing a Design and Development Overlay to introduce neighbourhood character controls.
  • Focussing on general pedestrian connections rather than a Delatite River trail.
  • Highlighting the ecological value of the Delatite River.
  • Emphasising the unique local heritage including mountain cattlemen.

Community input is of the highest importance for Council as we develop this 20-year vision for the Delatite Valley, as such we are now seeking further community feedback on the revised draft of the plan.

Residents, business and community groups are encouraged to read the plan and share their thoughts to ensure the finished plan reflects the values of the community.

There are multiple ways to get involved:

  • Online survey: Complete the online survey at Engage Mansfield and let Council know what you think of the draft plan.
