Council is pleased to announce that works for the water tank installation near the War Memorial in Bonnie Doon will resume in the following weeks.
Works will include pad construction and pipe works and are scheduled to commence on Wednesday 6 December to Thursday 7 December, from 7:30am to 3:30pm.
Following this, the onsite assembly and installation of the water tank is planned in mid-December.
Mayor Cr James Tehan thanked the community for their involvement in bringing this project to fruition.
“Council welcomes community feedback on projects like this and has listened to ideas from the Bonnie Doon community with the aim to improve local streetscapes and keep the township looking good,” he said.
“These improvements will provide better irrigation for the lawn system and enhance the area for the local community and visitors.”
For the duration of the works, the toilet block will be open for public use. People are advised to take caution and follow any signage when in the area.
Further works to install the lawn irrigation system will follow in early 2024.
