Council is pleased to announce that the boat ramp refurbishment project was recently completed and is ready for the community to enjoy.

The Maintongoon Road Reserve Boat Ramp, Reardon’s Reserve Boat Ramp, and the Jamieson Reserve Boat Ramp have been refurbished, with works including resheeting, installing culverts, and defining drainage to improve the safety and access to the boat ramp car parks.

Mayor Cr James Tehan said it is fantastic to see this project complete.

“Council prioritises improving infrastructure across the Shire to enhance safety for the community,” he said.

“The newly refurbished boat ramps now offer better boat ramp access, expanded car parks, and improved drainage to reduce any flooding.”

“Council thanks everyone for their feedback during this project and we look forward to seeing the ramps in use coming into the warmer months.”

Better Boating Victoria awarded a grant to council through the 2021-2022 Victorian Government’s Recreational Boating Structural Maintenance Grants program, which is funded through the reinvestment of boaters’ recreational licence and registration fees. The project cost a total of $89,117.50 (excl GST).
