Armchair Travel Returns to Mansfield Library

Learn about the travel adventures of local residents in Mansfield Library’s 2024 Armchair Travel series, starting Wednesday 15 May.                                       

Mayor Cr Steve Rabie encourages the public to attend this educational and uplifting program.

“This is a great opportunity for the community to learn about the world and each other without leaving the beautiful Mansfield Shire” said Cr Rabie.

Armchair travel starts on Wednesday 15 May, continuing on the third Wednesday of each month for 6 months.

The sessions, 6.00pm – 7.15pm, begin with a light supper provided by Friends of Mansfield Library that showcase the cuisine of the region.

The presentations for 2024 include:

  • Wednesday 15 May “Italy – Pizza, Pasta, Pompeii & the Pope!” with Liam Wilson
  • Wednesday 19 June “Horsemen in the mist – travels in Indonesia” with Amanda Swaney
  • Wednesday 17 July “The vibrant wonders of South America” with Toni Appleby
  • Wednesday 21 August “Omoshiroi Nihon (Fascinating Japan)” with Jane Herbert
  • Wednesday 18 September “Timor-Leste Land of the sleeping crocodile” with David and Anne       Foster
  • 16 October “the magnificent wildlife of South Africa” with Rolly Vella’
