Mansfield Shire Council endorsed its 2024-25 Annual Report at the October Council Meeting reflecting a year of strong advocacy, progress and collaboration with the community.

The report outlines Council’s performance against the objectives of the Council Plan 2021–2025, bringing the plan to a close in its final year. It includes updates on key initiatives, audited financial statements and performance data to ensure transparency and accountability

Mayor Cr Steve Rabie said the report reflects Council’s commitment to delivering value for money, standing up for community needs and investing in projects that support the Shire.

“The 2024-25 Annual Report demonstrates how we’ve continued to invest in our Shire’s future – supporting local businesses, maintaining our country character and improving services and facilities for residents,” said Cr Rabie.

“This year we’ve fought hard for our community, from joining our community in protecting our local hospital to opposing restrictive planning controls and the new Emergency Services and Volunteer Fund.”

“Despite facing pressures from inflation, we’ve managed to deliver key projects, keep rates below the State Government’s rate cap and found cost effective ways to improve services.”

Key projects achieved in 2024-25 include:

  • Mansfield Heritage Museum’s foyer and administration area internal fit-out
