We can assist new and existing businesses throughout the Shire with business networking and training programs, as well as business and marketing support.
Mansfield Shire Economic Development Strategy 2020-25
The Economic Development Strategy sets out Council's plan to guide the growth and resilience of the Mansfield Shire economy over the five years to 2025. It was developed in partnership with local businesses, community members and Council, drawing on economic data, industry workshops and survey responses from over 400 community members and local businesses.
The Strategy identifies four key themes for economic growth:
- Strengthen and diversify economy
- Enhance visitor economy
- Deliver best practice economic development
- Driving growth in infrastructure and public land
Priority focus areas include supporting agriculture and agri-tourism, growing the health, aged-care and education sectors, investing in tourism infrastructure and improving digital and transport connectivity across the Shire.
A detailed Action Plan accompanies the Strategy, outlining specific actions, lead responsibilities and timeframes to guide implementation and track progress through to 2025.
