Council Adopts Updated Station Precinct Masterplan
Published on 27 October 2023
Mansfield Shire Council is thrilled to announce the adoption of the revised Mansfield Station Precinct Masterplan.
The updated plan, building on the original 2019 Masterplan, recognises landmark elements like the Mansfield Heritage Museum, the precinct's historic buildings, revamped parking layouts and new paths for walking and cycling in response to community feedback.
Additionally, the Masterplan seeks to enhance community wellbeing with the inclusion of an all-abilities playground and dog-friendly areas. The plan underscores Council's commitment to community wellbeing, appreciation for local heritage, and providing opportunity for economic development through activation of this important precinct.
From initial consultation during development of the first Masterplan, to the most recent rounds of feedback, the community has played a pivotal role in shaping the Masterplan's direction.
Mayor Cr James Tehan said Council acknowledges the invaluable contributions of the community and stakeholders.
“The feedback received has been instrumental in refining the Masterplan to ensure it continues to serve the needs of our Shire’s growing community,” he said.
“This updated Masterplan is a reflection of Council’s commitment to preserving our rich heritage and paving the way for a vibrant future."
