Undergraduate Engineer

Mansfield Shire Council is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and community focused individual to take up the role of Undergraduate Engineer. This position is responsible for assisting in delivering Council’s capital works projects & operations, including buildings, roads, drainage, parks, paths, recreation facilities, and community facilities.

Reporting to the Manger Engineering Services, the Undergraduate Engineer is responsible for assisting in effectively contracting and delivering a range of projects across Mansfield Shire, working with contractors and suppliers to achieve objectives through quality control, cost control, scope control, issue resolution and management of variations.

This is a Fixed Term, Part Time role until 30 June 2027 and has the potential to work more hours during semester break.

Financial Accountant

Mansfield Shire Council is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and community focused individual to take up the role of Financial Accountant. The successful candidate is responsible for the efficient and effective management of Council’s financial and asset accounting, payments, revenue, payroll, and statutory reporting activities in line with policy, statutory and professional standards.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the position also includes management of the chart of accounts and finance, allocation of corporate overhead costs and segment reporting and assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and the financial plan.

Gardener

Mansfield Shire Council is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and community focused individual to take up the role of a Gardener. The Gardener maintains existing parks and gardens within the shire and assists in the development of new areas for recreation. This position also has responsibilities associated with cemetery facilities within the Mansfield Shire.

Reporting to the Coordinator Parks and Gardens, the role also includes maintaining reserves, park lands, gardens, streetscapes and urban areas for the enjoyment of the Community as well as Maintaining and operating plant and other equipment in a clean, safe and effective working condition and carry out all works in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

Please note this is a fixed term, full-time position until 30 June 2027, with potential ongoing opportunity.

Patrol Person

Mansfield Shire Council is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and community focused individual to take up the role of Patrol Person. The successful candidate will carry out maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction works, including maintaining roads, verges, footpaths, kerbs, drainage systems, and signage and guideposts as required.

Reporting to Senior Coordinator Assets and Roads Maintenance, the Patrol Person responsibilities include maintenance and repair of machinery, including minor on-site repairs, manual handling of heavy components, welding, cleaning, and using power tools, as well as drain construction and clearing, including assisting with construction and high-pressure jetting of culverts, vegetation removal, erosion control, shovelling material, operating machines, chainsaws, or pole saws and using hand tools.
