Current Grants
Grant for Good – closes 11 June 2026
- The Grant for Good is an annual $20,000 community grant to provide help to projects, organisations and initiatives that promote social inclusion activities, health and wellbeing, sports and other fields that benefit their communities.
Canon Oceania - closes 14 June 2026 *NEW*
- This grant is open to projects, organisations or schools that have a positive impact on their community. Each winner of the four eligibility categories will receive $2,500 cash and Canon product values up to $2,500.
Emerging Songwriter Award - closes 15 June 2026 *NEW*
- The Diana Torossian Emerging Songwriter Award is open to all songwriters who are aspiring to make a career in the music industry and have started to establish a commercial body of work. First prize includes $3,000 cash and 10 mentoring/songwriting sessions with industry professionals.
Strengthening Rural Communities – closes 24 June 2026
- The Prepare & Recover program supports communities in remote, rural and regional communities across Australia to implement initiatives that prevent and prepare for future climate related impacts or recover from existing disasters. Grants are available up to $25,000.
Farm Drought Support Grant - closes 30 June 2026 (earlier if funds exhausted)
- This grant program assists primary production businesses to improve drought resilience. Eligible farmers will receive up to $5,000 as a co-contribution grant that will support activities including water infrastructure upgrades (such as pipes, tanks, troughs and dams), stock containment areas, and grain and fodder storage.
Disability Peer Support and Connections – closes 2 July 2026
- Support is available from a total funding pool of $517 million. Successful organisations will be funded to deliver activities that strengthen support networks, empower people with disability, and foster meaningful connections across diverse communities.
LGBTQIA+ Small Grants – closes 13 July *NEW*
- This program funds projects proposed by individuals and organisations who support LGBTQIA+ communities. The second round of this grant funding focuses on ‘Healthy Ageing for Older People’. Funding is available up to $1,000.
Trees for Bees – closes 20 July 2026 *NEW*
- The Trees for Bees Community Tree Grants support the planting of bee-friendly trees in extended gardens, community-owned land, school grounds, sporting club precincts and urban corridors. Grants of $500 are available for not-for-profit organisations, school groups, Landcare groups, community organisations and sustainability groups.
Get Online Week – closes 24 July 2026 *NEW*
- Get Online Week grants support community organisations to host fun digital skills events, promote their digital inclusion program and reach new people. Grant funding of $1,000 can be spent on marketing, learning resources, catering, venue hire, staff and volunteer expenses and event costs.
Hamer Sprout Fund – Closes 30 September 2026
- The mission of the Hamer Sprout Fund is “to build communities inspired to take action for a sustainable future”. These grants are provided as an incentive to new or established groups to develop initiatives that promote innovation, facilitate community engagement, and advocate for sustainability. Grants are available up to $5,000, or up to $10,000 in exceptional circumstances.
Social Enterprise Development – closes early 2027 *NEW*
These grants, valued at up to $120,000 each, support social enterprises to be more effective and efficient in increasing social impact for the people and communities they exist to support. For the purpose of this grant, a social enterprise is any business or not-for-profit, with a trading revenue of over $50,000, who exists specifically to make the world a better place.

Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program
- This program by the Victorian Government provides funding to Victorian emergency services volunteer groups to purchase essential operational equipment, vehicles and appliances and minor facility improvements. The VESEP will provide $2 for every $1 of funding contributed by the local volunteer group.
- Community organisations working with disadvantaged young people aged 11-21 years may be eligible for this funding program. This foundation primarily focuses on supporting young people from low socio-economic circumstances, those living in rural and regional Victoria, those of indigenous, refugee, and asylum backgrounds, and those with disabilities.
VFA Recreational Fishing Grants Program
- This program by Avant Group provides not-for-profit community groups, angling clubs and associations with grants to fund projects that will improve public recreational fishing in Victoria. Grants are available for up to $50,000 and projects that are likely to be eligible include infrastructure and access, research, and the installation of instream habitats.
Development on Demand by VicScreen
- This program supports producers and writers to develop narrative fiction or documentary projects for any release platform. Eligible writers or producers may apply for up to $50,000, which must be repaid from the production budget if and when a project proceeds to production.
- You can apply for a Variety community grant if your school or organisation is based and operating in Victoria, not a private school or business, and directly serves children under 18 in areas like disability, financial disadvantage, or geographic isolation. Funding is available for a variety of items including: musical instruments, sensory rooms, and technology.
