Container Deposit Scheme
Council has endorsed the installation of the new CDS Public Bin Project across the Mansfield Shire. An initial 39 Container Deposit Scheme Public Bins will be installed across area to help make is more convenient for community members and visitors alike to do the right thing and deposit their eligible containers in a purpose-built bin. This project responds to both community feedback and State opportunity and is supported by grant funding of $4,000 from VicReturn which will support the roll out of the project. To support the ongoing management of the project, a newly proposed MoU with Green Community Containers Mansfield, located on Withers Lane will collect the containers on behalf of the community.
