Mansfield Shire Council is proud to host a Look Over the Farm Gate workshop featuring Warren Davies, one of Australia’s leading rural mental health speakers.

The event is supported by Agriculture Victoria through drought relief community grants, alongside the National Centre for Farmer Health, reinforcing a shared commitment to supporting the wellbeing of rural communities.

Known as The Unbreakable Farmer, Warren Davies brings a deeply personal and practical perspective to mental health and resilience. His life has been shaped by the realities of farming, family pressures, financial hardship and rebuilding after significant personal and professional loss. These experiences have tested his resilience, persistence and determination - qualities that underpin his work supporting others across rural Australia.

“Rural life comes with unique challenges,” said Mayor Cr Rabie.

“No one has to face tough times alone. In this community we stand shoulder to shoulder to face difficulties together.”

“The Unbreakable Farmer event will provide all community members, not just the farming community, with the tools they need to build their resilience.

“This is an incredible opportunity to learn from one of Australia’s best experts in how to break down the barriers that we face every day in a rural town,” he said.

The workshop is open not only to farmers, but also to families and the broader rural community. Warren is an inspirational speaker and his workshop will provide all members of our community the tools and strategies they need to navigate tough times.

The free event will be held Tuesday 26 May at the Bonnie Doon Recreation Reserve from 10am to 3pm. Registrations are compulsory for catering purposes and must be made prior to 22 May 2026.
