Mansfield Shire Council has partnered with Snap Send Solve, a free mobile app that gives residents a straight forward method of reporting problems in the community, any time of day.
Residents can make a report in less than 30 seconds. The app lets users attach up to five photos and pinpoint the exact GPS location of the issue, helping Council staff understand the problem and respond sooner.
Mayor Cr Steve Rabie said the app will make reporting issues easier for the Mansfield Shire community.
“Our community knows our Shire better than anyone, and Snap Send Solve is an effective way for people to tell us when something needs attention, whether it’s a pothole, a damaged sign or a fallen tree,” he said.
Snap Send Solve will help staff identify and redirect issues that are the responsibility of other authorities, so reports don’t get lost along the way.
“It will make sure reports reach the right people with the right information from the start. Importantly, it means issues reported on state-managed roads go straight to the authority responsible for fixing them,” Mayor Cr Rabie said.
How to report an issue:
- Download Snap Send Solve from the App Store or Google Play
- Open the app and start a new report
- Confirm your location using GPS
- Select the type of issue and add any extra notes
- Take a photo or upload one from your camera roll
- Submit your report. Snap Send Solve works out the responsible authority and sends it on
Residents can still report issues to Council by calling 03 5775 8555 or through the Report or Request page on Council’s website.
