Proposed Emergency Water Supply Points
Council is seeking community feedback on a proposal to establish two emergency water supply points (bore sites) to support local farmers and producers during drought/dry conditions.
To help deliver the proposed initiative, Council will be applying for funding through the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action's (DEECA) Emergency Water Supply Points Grants Program.
The proposed bore sites are intended to provide a reliable emergency water source for agricultural use during periods of water shortage, helping to strengthen drought resilience across the local farming community.
Council encourages community members to review the supporting documents to review the exact proposed locations and provide feedback via the online survey.
Have Your Say
Council encourages community members to review the exact locations of the bore sites in the key documents section and provide feedback via the online survey.
The proposed bore sites are located at:
- Adjacent to the CFA shed at the intersection of Piries-Goughs Bay Road and Mansfield-Woods Point Road.
- On McCormacks Road, next to McCormack Park.
Your input will help inform Council's decision-making and ensure community perspectives are considered. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback.
Consultation for this engagement will close Friday 25 September 2026.
