Waste

Council is committed to pursuing avenues for safe, cost effective and environmentally friendly ways of dealing with our waste and improving the waste services offered to the community.

Starting 1 July 2019, all electronic waste (e-waste) will be banned from any bin or landfill site.
To ensure Mansfield Shire is fully prepared for the ban, we have completed works to build our e-waste collection facilities at the following drop-off points.
  • All e-waste: Mansfield Resource Recovery Centre - 163 Monkey Gully Road, Mansfield
  • Mobiles, Cartridges and Household Batteries Only - Mansfield Shire Council Office - 33 Highett Street, Mansfield

These works will increase community access to e-waste drop-off points, expand capacity to receive and safely manage rising volumes of e-waste.

Below is a comprehensive list of the in scope and out of scope items.

Note: In Scope items are free of charge at the Resource Recovery Centre. Out of Scope items will incur a charge of $6 per item.
