Spring In!..... that's what we call our action packed, giddy up, extravaganza of unique events, limited only by the imagination of a community that celebrates September - November with a busy events calendar.
The spring events program is a fantactic opportunity for community groups, local artists, traders and other organisations to meet and interact with the local community and visitors to the Mansfield Shire by running an event.
To help promote visitation to the shire and attendance at all of these events, Council will collate the events together and produce the Spring In events brochure.
There is no charge for your event to be included in 'Spring In' however there are criteria for inclusion.
The event must:
1/ complement or fit within the calendar of events (and not clash/compete with other similar and/or established events)
2/ be an activity or experience that is not part of your every day business
3/ appeal to our potential visitors as well as residents - i.e not be 'closed' shop or membership based
4/ comply with all relevant regulations and Council requirements that may include but not be limited to acquiring relevant event permits, insurance, risk management plans, traffic management plans
5/ create (if not done already) an ATDW listing for your event
6/ be submitted by the closing date - Wednesday 14 July 2021.
Final decision for inclusion will be at the discretion of Council officers.
Events held during the High Country Festival does not require you to register with Council for the Spring In brochure. Instead please contact Karen Pirie with your event details Karen@highcountryfestival.com.au for inclusion.
As per previous years, any event that is held during the Mansfield High Country Festival period (01-05 November) will be displayed in the Spring In brochure under that banner and also on the Mansfield High Country Festival's website.
7,000 Spring In brochures will be printed and distributed before Sept 1 to Federation Square Melbourne, Wangaratta, King Valley, Benalla, Shepparton, Yea, Alexandra, Yarra Glen and locally.
The brochure will also be available online to download via our destination website www.mansfieldmtbuller.com.au to further reach and entice potential visitors to our region and inform locals.
