Mansfield Shire Youth Services have some fantastic activities for young people on offer this school holidays.
Youth Services and Partnerships Coordinator, Bonnie Clark said, “You can check out our Facebook page or come visit us at the youth centre to find out about all the activities we are running.
“Bunting workshops, upcycled art, and a picnic in the park are all happening, plus extended youth centre opening hours of 1pm-5pm, just for the holidays” explained Bonnie.
In preparation for an eco-friendly themed Rock Out event in November, the Youth Centre is hosting the Mansfield Country Women’s Association for an afternoon of bunting on Tuesday 24 September from 1pm. The CWA generously donated a large quantity of materials and will volunteer their time and their sewing machines to guide young people on the art of making bunting. Then, on Wednesday 25 September, from 1pm-5pm, artist Dakini Maddock will be at the Youth Centre turning recyclables into funky art forms.
The Mansfield Youth Centre is a fun, friendly, safe environment for young people to hang out, share spaces and activities with other young people in the community, and get access to great programs. The Centre is open Tuesday – Thursday for 12-17 year olds, and Fridays for Young Adults, 18-25. All activities held on these days are relevant to these respective ages.
