The Mansfield Resource Recovery Centre will re-open to the public Friday, 18 September at midday.
Mansfield Shire CEO, Kaylene Conrick said in order to meet social distancing requirements, one of the drop-off bays has had to be closed, so depending on traffic at the Centre, there may be some delays.
“We ask that people give themselves enough time and be prepared to wait if there is a bit of a queue. Our staff will be doing their best for people to use the Centre efficiently while also doing what’s required to ensure the health and wellbeing of all users and staff,” Ms Conrick said.
The Centre will only accept materials from residents, community and businesses within the Shire or contractors with valid working permits to be here.
“According to the COVID-19 rules in place, people will be asked where they are from and anyone visiting the site from a Stage 4 area will be turned away. Users are required to provide ID upon entry for contact tracing requirements,” she said.
Those using the Centre need to adhere to COVID rules; wearing a mask, paying attention to hand hygiene and social distancing.
The re-sale shop remains closed under COVID-19 restrictions.
