Former Pirie’s resident and author of “Motherling” is coming to visit the Mansfield Library to promote her compelling story of loss, healing and walking the Camino de Santiago through France and Spain with her son’s ashes whilst she attempted to come to terms with her 31 year old son’s death.
“Motherling addresses every parent of an adult child’s nightmare; it will touch every mother and every parent.
“This is a story on how to deal with what life throws at you…one step at a time. It’s a memoir of love, hope, grief and how to walk your way through an unimaginable loss to peace of mind”, author Jen said.
Mansfield Shire Council Library Co-ordinator, Justine Shelton, said “We are very excited to host this free event and encouraging locals to come along for Jen’s visit and listen to her story of losing her son to an accidental drug overdose, a moving story of grief and hope”.
Speaking about the up and coming visit, Mayor, Cr Marg Attley OAM said, “The Mansfield Library is a fantastic local facility, which brings great warmth and character to all special author visit”.
