Mansfield Library members can continue to borrow books, DVDs, audio books and magazines with a new ‘click and collect’ service.

The new Click and Collect service enables Library members to go online, order items and then collect them from the Library during designated times. The service can be accessed through the Library Services section on Mansfield Shire Council’s website.

Mansfield Mayor, Cr Marg Attley OAM said “The Library plays such a vital role in supporting members of the Mansfield community and like other businesses and services in town we are doing what we can to adapt and can continue to deliver this valuable service”.

“This is a fantastic innovation that will allow our community to continue to access resources for work, study, educating their children and for their own mental health” she said.

To ensure that materials are safe to borrow, all returned items will be quarantined for at least 5 days before being returned to circulation. Items can be collected between 2.00pm and 4.00pm on Tuesdays and Fridays and between 10.00am and 12noon from Wednesday to Friday.

Due to the courier services between libraries in the High Country Network ceasing, loans will be limited to what is currently on the library shelves in Mansfield.  The number of loans per person will also be reduced to ten, to ensure that everyone has access.

Borrowers will have eight weeks to return items and no overdue fines will be charged while the Library remains closed.

Anyone wanting to join the Library who is not a member can join for free through the High Country Library Network website www.hclc.vic.gov.au.

For more information on the Click & Collect Service and other online resources available to library members go to the Library Services page or call the library on 5775 8621.
