After managing Mansfield Shire Council’s infrastructure portfolio for the past eight months, Maree Walker is moving on to a role as the regional Director of Asset Management with GOTAFE.

In her new position, Ms Walker will service GOTAFE’s campuses in Werribee, Seymour, Shepparton, Benalla and Wangaratta.

Mansfield Shire’s Interim CEO, Kaylene Conrick will appoint a short-term replacement to the Manager Infrastructure position.

Mayor, Cr. Harry Westendorp said the longer term plans for the position will be decided by the new CEO, once appointed.

“We are finalising the process for recruitment of a new CEO. It is usual for a new CEO to consider the structure and staffing levels, so how the Manager Infrastructure position will be replaced is an operational decision for the new CEO,” Cr. Westendorp said.

Cr. Westendorp congratulated Ms. Walker on the appointment.  “We will be sorry to see Maree finish up with us on Friday as she worked diligently on our asset management requirements, capital works planning, roads and parks and gardens. We wish her all the best for the future and thank her for her contribution to our communities,” Cr. Westendorp said.
