A concept plan for a new sports pavilion at Mansfield’s Lords Reserve has been developed and will be available for public comment from 21 August 2019 – 4 September 2019.

Mansfield Shire Council Mayor Harry Westendorp explained “The development of club room and change room facilities at the Lords Reserve was identified as one of the top two priorities in the Mansfield Shire Council Sports Facilities Strategy 2018”.

“The concept plan is the result of extensive engagement with current users of existing facilities at the Lords Reserve who were able to provide the architects with a vision for a facility that will suit the current and future needs of their members.”

“We’re now at the stage where we would like to invite members of our broader community to have their say on this vision and provide input into the design before we progress to the development of detailed designs.”

To enable Council to work toward securing funding to develop a new pavilion at Lords Reserve, Council engaged Perkins Architects, through a competitive tender process, to develop a masterplan for the Lords Reserve, which includes a fully scoped design for a new sports pavilion including social rooms and change room facilities.

The concept plan will be on public exhibition from 21 August – 4 September 2019 and available for viewing online at www.mansfield.vic.gov.au/consultations or in hardcopy at the Mansfield Shire Council offices, 33 Highett Street, Mansfield, and the Mansfield Library in Collopy Street, Mansfield.

Public submissions commenting on the concept plan can be made via the online portal at www.mansfield.vic.gov.au/consultations or lodged in writing and addressed to the Community Services Manager, Mel Hotton, Mansfield Shire Council, Private Bag 1000 Mansfield 3724 or emailed to council@mansfield.vic.gov.au.
