Mansfield Shire Council is currently seeking community and industry input towards the development of the Economic Development Strategy.
Mayor, Cr Marg Attley OAM announced, “Community and business workshops will assist in understanding key challenges and opportunities for our economy. In light of the recent fire events and impacts of State Government legislation, we are all keenly focussed on community resources and our local economic resilience. The opportunity to gain insights into any economic development initiatives needed to make the Mansfield Shire more economically resilient for the next 5 years and beyond should not be missed”.
Strategy preparation will include an in depth stakeholder and community engagement program that involves a range of activities to ensure that everyone has a chance to participate with upcoming local community and business workshops, being held in Mansfield during January 2020, as well as providing their input through community and business surveys.
“Important community and stakeholder input into this strategy provides a clear vision and action based plan for the future growth and enhancement of our economy and it will guide development of the strategy, focussed towards building on existing strengths and responding to local conditions, needs and aspirations” continued Cr. Attley.
