The recent easing of restrictions has seen the Victorian boating community back in action just as a state-wide survey is looking for ways to improve how recreational boating facilities are managed.

Mansfield Shire Mayor Cr. Marg Attley OAM said local boating enthusiasts should not miss out on the opportunity to provide input into the Boating Infrastructure Management Review – Regional Victoria survey, which closes on 27 May.

Cr Attley said the Activating Lake Eildon and Lake Eildon Masterplan projects identified community views that included recreational boating facility needs around Lake Eildon.

“We heard that there is a need to improved facilities and this survey provides another opportunity for the community to provide local knowledge to government about needs within the entire region,” Cr Attley said

“This survey has been prepared so that everyone can take part in finding improvements, right across the state, but importantly, right here within the Mansfield Shire. Recreational boating facilities that do exist in our area are diverse and often very busy and this is the perfect opportunity to provide input to improve recreational boating facilities,” she said.

The survey is located at https://getinvolved.transport.vic.gov.au/boatingreview-regional

A summary paper called “Management of Boating Facilities in Regional Victoria” is available online with further details.
