Council Awards View Street Contract and Five Others

At Tuesday’s meeting, Mansfield Shire Council awarded the contract for the extension and reconstruction of View Street, Mansfield to Mansfield-based Alpine Civil for $1.589million among several decisions for new contracts.
Mansfield Shire CEO, Kaylene Conrick said the contracted works would provide employment and contribute to the local economy through swimming pool staff, arboriculture services, supply of quarry products, fuel and road re-sealing works.
“The works in View Street include sealing the road and drainage infrastructure, the new carpark and bus turnaround and the roundabout to be constructed at the intersection with Highett Street,” Ms Conrick said.
Other contracts awarded at the meeting were:
Mansfield Swimming Pool: Provision of labour hire services for the operation of the pool to MomentumOne Shared Service Pty Ltd for one year, commencing 16 September 2020 with two two-year options to extend at Council’s discretion.
Arboriculture services panel: Three contractors; Advanced Tree Care, High Country Tree Services and Arboressence are contracted for a 3 year period, with the option of two one-year extensions at the end of the 3 year term.
Supply of quarry products panel: Three contractors; Lima South Quarry Pty Ltd, West Paps Quarry and Norville Nominees Pty Ltd (Euroa Quarries) are contracted for 1 year with the option of two one-year extensions at the end of the one year term.
Bulk fuel supply: Caltex Australia Pty Ltd was awarded the contract for the supply of bulk fuel to the Mansfield Shire Depot under the terms of the Procurement Australia Contract 2003-0107-1 Bulk Fuel, until April 2021, with an option to extend for a further 12 months.
Reseal preparation works: Country Wide Asphalt & Civil based on the amended scope of works.
