Mansfield Shire Council has engaged Rob Gebert Arts Consultants to develop a Strategic Business Plan for the Mansfield Performing Arts Centre on behalf of Council.

Deputy Mayor, Cr. Paul Sladdin explained ‘Performing arts create a vital contribution to our community wellbeing.

‘Our Performing Arts Centre has been a place to engage in public debate and to connect and inspire communities, and increasingly, to provide skills development and employment opportunities.

‘This plan is an important step in ensuring our Council has the information to continue to support the performing arts and maximise the facilities capacity to build connections, aid creative participation and develop inviting and inspiring venues for the whole community’, said Cr. Sladdin.

To initiate the plan, a series of stakeholder meetings with the facility’s regular user groups have been scheduled to provide the opportunity to share their background and operational knowledge as well as their vision for the future of the facility.

Members of the public are invited to attend a one hour session which will be held at the Mansfield Secondary College from 4pm on Thursday, 10 October.

To register your interest in the community engagement workshops or to find out more, contact Community Development Officer, Keira McDonagh on 5775 8562.
