Call for Community Members to join Project Reference Group - Botanic Park Playground Renewal

Monday, 26 August, 2019 - 15:15

Mansfield Shire Council is seeking community representatives to join a Project Reference Group to develop a vision and design for a new children’s play space at the Mansfield Botanic Park.

The purpose of the Project Reference Group is to help Council to develop a vision for the playground and provide feedback to Council and contractors during the community engagement and design process.

Mayor, Cr. Harry Westendorp said, “Council is committed to providing high quality facilities for our community.”

“We know public playgrounds act as an important hub for the community, attracting families and creating a focal point for activities.”

“This project provides the opportunity to engage in genuine dialogue with our community to provide a thoughtfully designed playground in the Botanic Park that is not only engaging for children and families but is also a space that can be enjoyed by the whole community” said Cr Westendorp.

Community members interested in joining the reference group should submit an expression of interest outlining their relevant experience for the role.  Selection will be based upon the group’s capacity to represent a diversity of users of varying ages and abilities.

Full details, including a copy of the draft Terms of Reference for the group and how to obtain an application form and lodge your expression of interest, are available on the website

Expressions of interest will be accepted until 5.00pm on Tuesday 10 September 2019.
