Mansfield Shire Council has 14 full-time and part-time jobs currently advertised through the Victorian government’s Working for Victoria program.
Mansfield Mayor, Cr Marg Attley OAM said Council is looking for community care workers, community engagement, community recovery, cleaning, field services, library support and people with administration skills to work in communications, finance, procurement, community services and HR.
“We’re really pleased to be able to offer these roles. We have already filled 14 roles through this program and are now looking to fill a further 14. They are really helping Council to deliver on its business-as-usual plans during these uncertain times and the recovery positions will support the community. It’s a great program that the Victorian government is funding and the positions are for a fixed term of 6 months”, Cr Attley said.
“These roles mean people in our community that had their employment impacted by COVID-19 have opportunities to get back into the workforce.
“We know there are many skilled people in our Shire and encourage anyone who is interested to register with the Working for Victoria program.”
These jobs are only available through Working for Victoria. Simply go to https://www.vic.gov.au/workingforvictoria and register your interest in applying for work. You will then be eligible to search and apply for the above job vacancies.
Council has already employed a cleaner, environment support officer, administration officers, gardeners, a strategic planner, a grants officer and a records officer through the program.
The Victorian government allocated funding to Mansfield Shire Council for up to 33 full-time equivalent jobs with a grant of $1,647,342. Council will only receive the funding for the roles it fills. The funding includes on-costs and allowances for training and equipment required for the roles.
