The Mansfield FReeZA team is hosting ‘Emerging Sounds’, a weekend songwriting and producers camp designed specifically for 12-18 year olds with creative minds and experience with either an instrument, vocals, producing or interest in songwriting.
Places are limited to 20 and will be allocated by an application process.
Weekend workshops include:
• Writing and performing a song within a band
• Creating lyrics, melodies and enhancing your chords.
• Specialised training on producing, mixing, sampling and recording, from a certified Ableton trainer on software Ableton Live
Participants will have the opportunity to experience a Q&A session with industry professionals and mentors, covering topics such as creating songs, recording, approaching labels, booking venues, and future opportunities within the music industry.
They will also be given a timeslot at the ‘Rock Out’ stage, the gig renowned for giving a rockin’ start to the High Country Festival. ‘Rock Out’ is held in High St, Friday the 1st of November, 2019.

*Mansfield Steiner School and Mansfield FReeZA are working together to extend the opportunity for all emerging artists aged 12-18 to enter both the Steiner School Song Writing Competition (Oct 26th) and 'Emerging Sounds’ Youth Songwriting Camp. Anyone who is successful in both applications will not miss out on either event!
