Merton Landcare sees itself as a community focus. There are two objectives of Merton Landcare, in short: 1. To enhance the public standing of Merton Landcare by creating a better understanding and awareness of Landcare by establishing links between rural and non‐rural people/organizations and encouraging non ‐rural people/organizations to become involved in our projects. We welcome and encourage new membership. Some of our events are not necessarily landcare based, but more community based for example, fun days and Merton Landcare Days. 2. To carry out works which will benefit the local environment and the sustainability of our private and public lands with an emphasis on waterways and remnant vegetation.
