COVID-19 update 23 March 2021

Current Victorian Restrictions: COVIDSafe Setting (in place from 26 March 2021)

  • Up to 100 visitors to your home per day
  • Up to 200 people at a public gathering
  • Office-based workplaces can operate at 100% capacity

Masks are required:

  • On public transport
  • In ride sharing vehicles
  • When you cannot physically distance from others
  • If you have any Covid like symptoms

What you need to keep doing:

  • Practice good hygiene and regularly and thoroughly wash your hands.
  • Maintain physical distancing, keep at least 1.5 metres away from others.
  • Carry a face mask when you leave home unless you have a lawful reason not to. It is strongly recommended you wear one whenever you cannot keep 1.5 metres distance from others.
  • Wear a face mask when required, unless a lawful exception applies.
  • If you feel unwell do not go to work.
  • Get tested. Return home immediately.
  • If you are worried you will lose pay while you wait for test result or you have tested positive and need to self-isolate you may be eligible for a worker support payment.(link is external)
  • If your condition worsens contact your GP or a health professional. If you become very unwell and are having trouble breathing contact triple zero, you may need to be admitted to hospital.

Getting vaccinated

The Victorian Government’s advice is that everyone that can, should be immunised against COVID-19. Two vaccines have been approved by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration and are currently being administered in Australia, the Pfizer vaccine and the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The hotline will be answered by Council staff equipped to answer questions, provide advice and referrals for enquiries about food, accommodation, psychosocial support, medications, transport, internet access and/or shopping delivery services and other locally available services.
