Environment Strategy


A draft of our Environment Strategy is now complete and available for comment. Comments close on 30 August 2019.


This Strategy will provide a roadmap for how Council will work in partnership to protect, sustain and promote Mansfield Shire’s natural environment.

How You Can Be Involved: 

The draft Environment Strategy is now available.  You are invited to provide comment on the Strategy before it is endorsed by Council in September.

The draft Strategy identifies four themes for action.  These are Waste, Water, Land and Sustainable Development.  Actions for Council are identified along with actions that the community can take to support Council’s vision:

Working together to protect and enhance the natural environment.

A drop-in session will also be held at Council Chambers on Thursday 22 August.  Drop in anytime between 4.30pm and 6pm.

Comments on the draft strategy close at 5pm Friday 30 August 2019.
