Mansfield Shire Economic Development Strategy 2020-25
Mansfield Shire Council has prepared an Economic Development Strategy to guide the growth and resilience of the local economy over the five year period between 2020-25. Mansfield Shire Council’s role in economic development includes business engagement and support, business and investment attraction, strategic land use planning, promoting liveability initiatives and undertaking advocacy efforts. The Economic Development Strategy has been developed in conjunction with Mansfield Shire community and industry.
Mansfield Shire Business Recovery Plan
The Business Recovery Plan has been prepared in response to the impacts of bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic on the Mansfield Shire’s business base. The plan aims to promote fast and sustainable recovery, as well as providing Council with a framework that will assist with preparation for future crisis. Key outcomes of the plan include quantification of the impact of 2019/20 bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic on Mansfield Shire industry sectors and businesses, and identification of strategies and actions to aid with business recovery and resilience building. The Recovery Plan has been prepared in close consultation with Council and the Business and Community Recovery Advisory Committee.
Mansfield Shire Economic Profile
Mansfield Shire Economic Profile provides a summary of economic data for Mansfield Shire and also considerations for economic development in the region. The report draws on a range of datasets including ABS Census data, agricultural census data, Urban Enterprises PAVE model, Market Info data and Building Industry data. The aim of this report is to provide a baseline profile of Mansfield’s economy for use by Mansfield Shire, industry, investors and residents.
