A New Mayor for Mansfield

At its Special meeting held on 28 November 2011, Council elected Jamieson Ward Councillor, Jeff Whyte, as Mayor of Mansfield Shire for the next 11 months, which will take him up to the VEC Council elections in October 2012. This is Cr Whyte's first time as Mayor.  He was elected as Deputy Mayor in 2010.

Council's Deputy Mayor is Tolmie Ward Councillor, Marg Attley. Cr Attley's term of office will also be for a an 11 month period.

Councillor Portfolios remain largely unchanged with the exception reporting responsibilities.

Portfolio responsibilities are as follows:

Tourism & Economic Development - Cr Dean Belle
Infrastructure - Cr Tom Ingpen
Environment - Cr Greg Wilder
