| Community Bushfire Feedback | | Following the 2006/07 bushfires in Mansfield Shire, the Mansfield Shire Council made every effort to collect feedback from all fire affected communities both about the response to the fires as well as the recovery process.
The aim of this exercise was not only to offer communities the opportunity to debrief, but also to collect valuable information that may inform response and recovery processes during future emergencies.
The 'Community Bushfire Feedback Report' (see link below) is a collation of all feedback received during community meetings, via phone calls, written submissions, emails, and conversations with community members.
Council distributed this report to key response and recovery agencies and the agencies' updates in relation to the feedback provided can be found in the 'Bushfire Feedback Update Report' below.

Ministerial Presentations | | During the bushfire response phase Council began to consider and plan for bushfire recovery within the Shire.
The Bushfire Recovery Paper was formulated and lists immediate, medium and long term recovery initiatives that aim to re-establish and build upon the Shire’s prosperity and sustainability.
Funding for each of the projects listed was sought from State Government and some of the initiatives received financial support.
The Bushfire Recovery Paper was presented to:
• Minister for Tourism, the Hon. Tim Holding (28 Dec, 2006)
• Acting Premier, the Hon. John Thwaites (3 Jan, 2007)
• Bushfire Recovery Ministerial Taskforce (25 Jan, 2007)
• Premier Steve Bracks (31 Jan, 2007)
