| Following the exhibition period which closed on 3 May 2005 Council has progressed the Amendment by separating the areas of contention from the sections that remain undisputed.

| Amendment C1 Part 1 | | The Minister for Planning approved Amendment C1 Part 1 to the Mansfield
Planning Scheme on 2 March 2006.
The Amendment implements a comprehensive review of the Mansfield Planning
Scheme, including a review of the Municipal Strategic Statement and the introduction
of the Farming Zone, Rural Activity Zone and Rural Conservation Zone.
The Amendment has been incorporated into the Mansfield Planning Scheme and can
be inspected, free of charge, during office hours, at the:

| Amendment C1 Part 2 contains the following matters: |
 | Proposed rezoning of land at Merrijig to introduce the Residential 1 Zone and Mixed Use Zone; | | Proposed rezoning of land occupied by the Pinnacle Valley Resort to Comprehensive Development Zone; | | Proposed rezoning of land between Pinnacle Valley and Alpine Ridge Drive, Sawmill Settlement to Residential 1; | | Rezoning of individual properties as requested by the owners of the land during the public display period.

| Amendment C1 Part 2 has been drafted and Council staff in conjunction with the NBA Group are currently preparing a structure plan for the Upper Delatite Catchment Area.
Two research projects into stream flow analysis and demand capability assessment are now being set up, with administrative arrangements and funding negotiations currently underway. These important research projects are very necessary as we work towards a well informed and coordinated Upper Delatite Structure Plan.
