Tourism
Craig's Hut in SnowMansfield is situated about two and a half hours north east of Melbourne, is a major gateway to Victoria’s famous High Country, Mt Buller and Mt Stirling Alpine Resorts and the second largest in-land waterway in Australia – Lake Eildon.

Grazing and timber harvesting historically created what is today a vibrant rural district of some 7,000 residents.

Tourism, farming and lifestyle living now underpin the strong economy of the Shire.
