Exercise and Sport in Hot Weather

The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting a long, hot summer with increased incidence of heatwaves.

Care must be taken if you wish to exercise or compete on very hot days.

Your club should also consider developing policies about whether to continue with the competition or activity once the temperature reaches a certain point. National organisations such as Tennis Australia have such a policy and your club should too. The information in the fact sheet above will help your club develop your own protocols or policies.
