| Local Laws | | At its meeting of 21 December 2004 Council adopted a new Community Local Law. This Local Law has since been revised and adopted by Council at its meeting of 19 February 2008.
The Mansfield Shire Council Community Local Law 2004 links with the mission and vision of Council's Council Plan by providing effective management tools to enhance the community's wellbeing and to aspire to a quality of life that enhances the health, safety and personal freedoms of individuals throughout the community.
The purpose of Local Laws are not to prohibit the many various activities that members of the community enjoy, however Council has a duty to effectively manage these activities, to ensure that they do not inconvenience or unduly interfere with the rights or the quality of life of the community in general.
