| Mansfield Shire Council Community Grants | | The Mansfield Shire Council is committed to working with community groups and organisations to meet the needs and interests of its residents. Grants are allocated each year through the Community Grants Scheme to not-for-profit community groups and organisations to strengthen their ability to conduct activities for the benefit of residents of the Shire of Mansfield.
Applications can be submitted for activities, projects and programs focusing on a wide range of issues relative to their community or group.
At its meeting of 20 April 2004, Mansfield Shire Council endorsed the establishment of two specific grant schemes; the Mansfield Ward Community Grant Scheme and Small Towns Community Grants Scheme. Advertisements for all funding opportunities appear in the Mansfield Matters section of the High Country times and the Mansfield Courier inviting interested community groups to apply. Information Kits with application forms and applicable information are posted on this web site as current funding rounds are advertised.
To be eligible to apply for a Grant, the community group must provide evidence of the following: | |

(A group may be in the process of applying for incorporation.) | | Current Public Liability Insurance, which covers the activity for which a Mansfield Shire Council Community Grant is sought | | An Australian Business Number (ABN) or exemption from the Australian Taxation Office | | Be a non-profit community group |
|
|
| Further, the group applying for a Mansfield Shire Council Community Grant must be up to date with any loan repayments it owes to Council.
In partnership with community groups the Mansfield Shire Council is committed to ensuring that our municipality continues to be a wonderful place to live.
