| | The third Mansfield Shire Council was sworn in at a Special meeting of Council on 2 December 2008. | Cr Sandie Jeffcoat (Mayor) | |  | Mansfield Ward Responsible Portfolios: Governance and Organisational Management
Sandie has lived in Mansfield for the past 27 years with his wife, Rae, and they have raised two daughters in the area.
He retired from the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Mt Buller and Mt Stirling Resort Management Board in 2005, a position he held for 23 years. He was Mayor of the Shire for the 2006/07 year.
While Sandie was elected by the ratepayers of the Mansfield Ward he is committed to representing the interests of ratepayers right across the Shire.
Sandie has a keen interest in the economic development of the Shire, the promotion of the area as a tourist destination and the protection of the area's environment. He sees it as being of pivotal importance to the Shire's future and the Shire's future generations that it is seen as being "clean and green".
He sees responsible financial management, rebuilding the Shire’s asset base (roads, bridges etc.) and the planning for the provision of infrastructure and services for the ageing population as being critical to the success of this Council.

| Cr Tom Ingpen (Deputy Mayor) | |  | Bonnie Doon Ward Responsible Portfolio: Community Infrastructure
This is Tom's 5th term as a Councillor, and he had served 3 terms as Mayor. Tom brings a depth of experience to Mansfield Shire, particularly in planning, community fire protection and shire rate differentials. Tom has lived in the Mansfield Shire for 30 years and his four children were educated in Mansfield. Tom is a prime lamb and beef producer. He sees sustainable land management practices and preservation of Mansfield's unique rural environment as vitally important for the future of the Mansfield district. Tom has a keen interest in emergency management and has 35 years involvement with the CFA. Tom believes funding for rural councils must have less reliance on rates and therefore shires need an alternative income stream, either from the State or Federal Government.

| Cr Marg Attley | |  | Tolmie Ward Responsible Portfolio: Community Development
Marg has been working with young people in Mansfield to support their transition from education to work and /or further study. She has combined this with being a Councillor for the last 3 years and Mayor in 2007.
Marg is passionate about this community and looks forward to working with the Council over the next four years.
Marg's background is teaching, mediation, community development and project management.

| Cr Dean Belle | |  | Mansfield Ward Responsible Portfolio: Economic Development
Dean and his wife, Gillian, have operated The Mansfield Regional Produce Store since early 2006; live in Mansfield with their 2 teenagers, and are active community members. Dean also operates a small consultancy practice that provides services to businesses and communities in regional Victoria. His services are largely focused on entrepreneurship, marketing and customer service, and he brings those skills to his role as Councillor.
His background includes two years in senior management with Buller Ski Lifts, three years as CEO at Tourism Tamworth and nine years as lessee of Mt Buffalo Chalet & Ski Area. Dean has been an active board member of North East Victoria Tourism for over ten years.
He believes that by protecting the quality and health of our environment and economy, we will be able to continue to enjoy the growth that the Mansfield Shire is experiencing.
He has been elected take on the portfolio of Tourism and Economic Development for the next 12 months, and looks forward to the challenges and opportunities accompanying that role.

| Cr Jeff Whyte | |  | Jamieson Ward Responsible Portfolio: Environment
Jeff is a local business owner in hospitality tourism, operating the Jamieson Brewery.
Living and working in Jamieson, Jeff supports local community involvement and has served as Jamieson School Council President and member of the local Rural Fire Brigade. He is also on the committee of the Victorian Micro-Brewers Association.
Jeff understands the needs of the smaller communities in the Jamieson Ward and is keen to ensure their interests continue to be represented. His focus will be working with Council on a long-term planning strategy for the continued success of Mansfield Shire’s economic growth.
